Paved emerged in the summer of 2023, drawing inspiration from a vast array of modern metal influences. Known for their pounding breakdowns, powerful riffs, and atmospheric elements such as choirs and string instruments, Paved crafts a live experience that’s both relentless and captivating. Their commanding stage presence and dynamic vocals allow audiences to break free from social norms, immersing fully in the energy of the performance.
Each member of Paved has been immersed in heavy music for decades, with their prior involvement in notable bands like Hard to Believe, Leons Massacre, and Daemion shaping their songwriting and live execution. Despite being a newly formed group, Paved has already amassed significant live experience, performing at events such as Metalfest in Deutschlandsberg, Not Your Scene in Gleisdorf, and opening for the French hardcore punk band Black Bomb A in Graz—receiving acclaim from audiences with each show.
Driven by a vision of forging forward, Paved aims to redefine modern metal with a commitment to creativity and professionalism. Constantly producing new material, they set their sights on securing international recognition, with their debut music video and accompanying EP set for release in September, marking the beginning of their journey to leave a global impact.
The band’s lineup includes:
Edgar Kreiter (drums) – A perfectionist with an eye for detail, Ed has honed his craft since youth, ensuring every sound, song, and live show is meticulously executed. His extensive touring experience with Leons Massacre in 2014 shapes his approach to Paved’s live performances.
Philip Ferrari-Gruber (guitar) – Grounded in hardcore roots, Phil is known for his impeccable live performances and studio precision. He plays a key role in the band’s sound and songwriting, bringing both creativity and patience to the mix.
Clemens Bückner (bass) – A seasoned veteran in the hardcore metal scene, Cle brings a steady and calming presence to the band, ensuring progress even in turbulent times. His stage presence, punctuated by his pink bass, is both striking and technically flawless.
Stefan Hirschmann (vocals) – From drummer to frontman, Stefan commands the stage with his powerful voice and engaging presence. His goal is to deliver high-energy performances that inspire and connect with the crowd on a visceral level.
