Doomed to Fail

Emerging from Graz in 2015, Doomed to Fail was born from the simple yet profound desire of three friends to make music together. Initially, these weekly jam sessions were nothing more than an opportunity for Jakob, Patrick, and René to reconnect and indulge in their shared passion for music. These casual gatherings gradually morphed into something more structured, which laid the groundwork for their evolving musical style.

As Doomed to Fail transitioned from a casual project to a more serious endeavor, the lineup expanded to include Alex, a powerful and versatile drummer, and Immanuel, a dedicated vocalist until his departure in 2020. This change coincided with the release of their second release "Fury", leading to a new phase where Patrick and René shared vocal responsibilities, further diversifying their sound.

Listeners often categorize their music as "Melodic Death Metal," yet the members incorporate a broad spectrum of influences, making their music difficult to pigeonhole. Patrick’s background in speed and thrash metal is evident in his viking metal-inspired guitar riffs. René brings a dark mix of black metal and blues to his guitar compositions. Jakob’s bass lines add a groove-laden rock feel, while Alex breaks conventional genre limits with his explosive drumming.

Through their compositions, Doomed to Fail celebrates the unity and creativity of its members, proving that music, much like life, thrives on spontaneity and genuine connections.
